The global retreat will bring together EGI partners from civil society organizations and research institutions to share their work, priorities and challenges in strengthening electricity governance in their respective countries. The global retreat will include discussions sections focused on EGI’s new tools [“10 Questions to Ask”, Electricity Distribution toolkit], and will see the participation of around 25 EGI partners from 8-10 countries. On Sept 18, 2012, EGI partners from India, South Africa and Thailand will discuss the “Policy implementation diagnostic toolkit” (developed by WRI’s Open Climate Network), and talk about the toolkit and their experiences pilot testing the toolkit.
The EGI Global Retreat will be preceded by a half-day meeting in Jakarta being organized by EGI Indonesia partners, IESR and IIEE on Sept 14, 2012.
