New funding from the Open Society Insitute (OSI)
By Emily Chessin on Thursday, November 8, 2007EGI recently received funding from the Open Society Institute (OSI) to pursue electricity governance in Central Asia, specifically Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. In the coming six months we will be working closely with OSI to conduct scoping efforts in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan and will also launch a new electricity governance assessment in these countries.

New funding from the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP)
By Emily Chessin on Thursday, November 8, 2007EGI recently received funding from the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership to expand the initiative to Brazil and South Africa. We were one 36 projects selected from the 310 concepts received. In the coming six months, we will conduct scoping efforts in Brazil and South Africa and will launch a new electricity governance assessment in both of these countries.
