Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR)

Institute for Essential Services Reform, established in 2001 in Jakarta, is a group of NGOs conducting advocacy in the energy sector in Indonesia, particularly the power sector. IESR aims to enhance transparency and accountability in the Indonesian energy sector and increase public participation in the decision-making process. IESR works on providing alternative policy and ideas through campaigns, lobbying, and education. IESR has eight members: INFID, ICW, YLKI, PIRAC, IGJ, DebtWatch, LBH Jakarta, and Yayasan GENI.
