GRIPP is a collaborative undertaking of various local and international stakeholders, including Preferred Energy Incorporated, Greenpeace-Southeast Asia Energy Campaign, Philippine Rural Reconstruction Movement, and Solar Electric Company, Inc. It aims to facilitate multi-stakeholder inputs in power sector decision-making to develop green energy. GRIPP seeks to demonstrate that renewable energy can present a viable alternative to grid based fossil fuel power, through a mix of energy options linked to the local economy and livelihood generation such as biomass cogeneration plants and wind farms for on-grid applications, off-grid electrification, and energy efficiency.
